Welcome Students...

to the best week of your life!

The most common phrase we hear from students is 'this was the best four days of my life!' This tour experience allows you to sight see some of the most awesome sights our country has to offer, time to hang out with your friends, great food and shopping, and an opportunity to experience first-hand the actual history you have spent your entire life studying in books.

Explore the Sites, Shop & Eat!

America’s east coast houses some of the most awesome sites and the most famous shopping spots in the world. Students may tour Times Square, the White House, the Statue of Liberty, Capitol Hill, Central Park, the Pentagon, NY’s Chinatown, and the Smithsonian Museums.

Depending on your tour, you may shop 5th Avenue in the Big Apple before seeing a Broadway play or you may be watching a play at Ford’s Theatre in DC, the historic scene of President Lincoln’s assassination.. The only breaks you will be taking will be to eat at places like the famous Pentagon City Mall, Chinatown or Hard Rock Café. Everything you have studied in school comes alive and promises to be the best time of your life.

Get actual College CREDIT

or Enhance your College Portfolio!

School Tours of America offers our high school participants the opportunity to earn undergraduate college credit for your participation in the tour. In conjunction with Adams State College, you may enroll in an undergraduate college program eligible to receive either .5 or 1.0 college credit hours for your participation on your tour.

If you are in either middle school or high school, we encourage you to enroll in our Adams State College “Leadership Program.” This program will require that you perform certain tasks while on your tour and the writing of reflection paper at the end of the tour. Not only will you automatically be enrolled in our essay contest and eligible to win valuable prizes, you will receive a Certificate from Adams State College for your future college admissions portfolio demonstrating you completed the ASC Leadership Program on the historic east coast.

Pay For Your Trip through Fundraising & Grants

We know the price of the tour is not cheap. We also know you will feel you got your money’s worth once you return home from the best week of your life. Tens of thousands of kids each year pay for all or a very large portion of their trip through a combination of fundraising, family gifts, scholarships and grants. The key is to start NOW.

We have provided you with letters and e-cards to send your relatives and friends asking them to help pay for the trip instead of a gift. We provide you a list of scholarship opportunities and a list of grants and tips on how to win them.

Also, letters and tips on how to seek contributions from local businesses. The key is to ask- the worst they can say is no, right? Finally, fundraising is always an option. Check with your teacher to see if they have any fundraising projects available to participate in.
